Nice work Mence! I built the 1/72 scale version of that plane so I know how big that's gotta be in 1/48 scale!

The kit looks to be a good one and quite large too. What paints are you going to use? Not really bottomed that one out yet buddy, I will let you know as soon as I call it. That appears to be the only downside of the kit, instructions tells you the colour to paint but doesn't reference it to any manufacturers particular range. According to AMK, its FS36493 so will go from there. |

Not much going on build wise, main gear wells are attached to the intake trunks and a few bits of detail added, I won't spend much time on weathering it as much of it is largely hidden.  I will fit the trunks and engines tomorrow and then the moment of truth, will the wing fit? |

Chaps. Wing went together nicely. The upper parts overlap the lower so you get none of those nasty join gaps at the edges of the wings. The whole thing attached to the fuselage with little fuss, tiny bit of tweaking, that's all. Clamped for peace of mind but hardly necessary, the join points are actually panel lines so once again, lot of thought gone into kit design.   Thanks. |
