Well I’ve finally found something to get me interested, at long last. I went for something that I know will be easy to build and even without putting too much effort into the painting stage I can get a finish I like.
For those not familiar with the Bandai range they are snap fit and unlike ‘workable’ tracks they don’t just fall apart if you so much as look at them. What the don’t do is sacrifice easy of build for detail as there’s tons of it. My progress so far is, well pretty much finished the build phase so after attaching a few more parts I need to work out which bits I need to mask (I’ve broken it down into legs, body and head) before priming, base coat and some light weathering. Having built some of these kits before I know that the tolerances are very small so even a coat or two of paint can create problems for the final assembly. I’ve also got to decide whether I’m going for classic white or something else. I was thinking about a German tri-colour camo but I’m leaning towards a dark grey and white stripe affair.
No pictures as yet but I’ll put some up tonight.

You can definitely count me in for this one. I've started to get a bit hooked on these Bandai kits.

Thanks guys and I’ve decided that I’m going to go for a winter dark grey and white stripes camo. That means I’ll get to use my snow effects set that I’ve had for a few years.
