Cheers Boots  . These stencils are certainly a lot better than decals, even if you do have mask off around them before spraying

I’ve had mixed results using stencils but you’ve nailed it I reckon

Thank you chaps, und Danke an Wouts  . These stencils are a doddle to use, they are a self-adhering soft vinyl. All you do is peel them off and stick them where needed. Push the air bubbles out, add a little masking tape around them to catch any over spray and then spray with the airbrush. They are also reusable

They are also reusable  vinyl you say….so would work well on contoured surfaces. I have a photo etched set and it can be difficult to place on all but flat surface!
