Wouts, Jeff, Boots, Guy---thanks so much! Sorry for the late response as it has been kind of a hectic week. And yes, there's something to be said for a single engine fighter with a 21,000 lb takeoff weight and eight 50s in it. No wonder the Ki-43s and Bf-109s disintegrated.  Think I am about ready to lay down the anti-glare panel on this one so should have an update soon.

Small update on the P-47 as I got the anti-glare panel painted. On this Hawaiian ANG scheme, the anti-glare panel runs the whole top of the fuselage. I painted it first because I want to mask off the Olive Drab, instead of painting the Vallejo Aluminum first and having to mask over that. I also painted the bays and gear bay doors with Chromate Yellow.
