Thanks, Marco! I also did not like aluminum/NMF finishes but that Vallejo Aluminum Paint really made all the difference. When I used it on the KC-97L, it was very modeler-friendly to work with.

Thank you, Joe! I got the Vallejo Aluminum sprayed on and as always it laid down very well over the primer. I've noticed some color variation on the cowling flaps and ammo bay covers so I may shoot a few panels with some AK Extreme Metal Dark Aluminum. Stay tuned......

I did some more work on the T-Bolt and I sprayed a few panels with some AK Extreme Metal Dark Aluminum. I painted the panels randomly to give it an asymmetric look, as in some photos I had seen. I also did some more post shading on the anti-glare panel as well. Next step will be the panel line work.

I got the panel lines done using an oil/mineral spirits wash. After that I gave the model a gloss coat of Pledge Floor Care. When that cured up I added the Aeromaster decals and they went on great, even for a twenty one year old decal sheet. I used the stencils off the Academy decal sheet to round things out. I will work on the sub-assemblies next.
