For Christmas I got a few things of styrene and styrene associated activities. I was able to fill in some holes in my Evergree/Plastruct supplies.
I was glad to see this one was bought off my wishlist. It's a neat looking tank. Definitely going something privateer on this one.
I've built another set of these and they are kind of neat. I wasn't really expecting this one but...I'll figure something out to use them for.
Various bits. Always can use a fresh set of cutters and a thing of liquid cement. I use tube glue for some things...like fitting a car chassis to the body. The pigments are for a method of making auto interior carpets I want to try. And I can always use an extra set of tires for auto builds.
I was surprised at this one. It wasn't on the wishlist. I think the sister in question saw it at Hobby Lobby. It's the WoT edition...which means it's a rebox of the old kit. It has a meh bonus decal sheet for some in-game insignias and some WoT game codes. Only one of each on the sheet so...limits use for Privateer stuff. They send a small bottle of liquid cement. Kind of expected a meta barrel but nope. I'll probably up it a bit. Maybe swap out tracks.
BTW IF ANYONE PLAYS WOT AND WANTS THE ENCLOSED GAME CODES...LET ME KNOW BY PM. First code is for 3 days premium account, Large repair kit, unique in-game emblem, auto fore extingusher. Second code (invite) is for T2 premium Light tank, 1000 gold, 7 days premium, and 1 garage slot.

Nice sub there Paul and one thatβs on my must do one day list. I have also thought about the 1/48 Trumpy one but honestly, I can see it being I like the idea more of it more than the reality.

Jase, the Revell U-boat is defo the way to go. I had been eyeing the Trumpeter kit up for years, but the darned thing is just way to big, with just over 6feet I'd have nowhere to put it . Cheers muchly Boots, those are cheapo designer slippers from a cheap shoe shop .

Excellent scores for Christmas Paul! I have yet to do a 1/72 scale sub. I don't see it happening given how little room I have; I can't even hang my An-124!
Looking forward to seeing these built and living vicariously through your submarine project!

Look at Mr. Boots---rum and a Spitfire; can't go wrong with that! Steve, great picks from the Tamiya stable. That Mossie falls together and is a gorgeous kit. Guy, great acquisition with the Tempest. If a Muscle Car Hot Rod could be a plane, it would be the Tempest; a very overlooked beast of a fighter. Joe, bet that Comet will just about build itself. Alex, cool looking Osorio and a great subject to build. Paul, I was just getting ready to say you needed a U-Boat. That will look great above the fireplace so let Mrs. B know what the plan is. Pete, that AAV amphib is a nice kit; has a great interior if I recall correctly. I have no plastic to post as I am combat ineffective but I did acquire some other items:

The Whippet is a lovely little kit although getting some of the panels aligned can be a bit tricky. I also found that the tracks werenβt as robust as the may appear. The good thing, clean-up of the wheels looks like a tedious job until you realise that they are very much hidden anyway.

ποΈπ Well thatβs a paint for every occasion! Military colour set mate. Much cheaper to buy them in a set, and hopefully motivate me to build more kits! Hope you had a good Xmas. ATB.

I remember being in our LHS and picking up a Lifecolor rust set. When handing it to the owner he nicely pointed out that it was cheaper to just buy the paints separately.

Normally Β£3.60 each. These were less than Β£2 a pop. Plus you get the case and brushes. Now, will I ever use all the colours? That's another story... I can but try.
