You're doing a good job Andy . To be honest, AFV Club should have made separate molds for their kits, that way they might have had better fits. Did you check the fit of the tracks yet? I think they are 1 link too long

I think they are 1 link too long Thanks Paul, Funnily enough I did a dry fit today and thought them a bit baggy. I think I'll be sticking them down to give some sag and that will hopefully lose the extra length. I had a bugger of a job getting them to stick in the first place so the thought of cutting a link out and re-glueing fills me with dread. As for the mold idea, I would agree. The AFV Strykers work well but I wonder if all the 251 variants have stretched their quality control a bit.

Andy, join the track on the sprocket, that will allow you to cut 1 link off if needed. I only noticed the fact that the tracks are too long, when I checked them on my Tamiya build. The suspension arms have the same distances on both kits, but the AFV Club track is defo too long. Here's 2 pics for you. The first one shows that even with good sag, the track doesn't sit on the rear idler. The 2nd shows what I mean with the one link, and also that joining the track here will hide the cut

Great progress on this one, Andy! Keep the AFV Club gremlins in check.
