This might be a tough model, but it stands no chance against your mad skills! Once you're done, nobody will be able to tell that you had any difficulties.

I made some progress on this but it has been slow going thus far. I got the sponsons done and there were enormous punch craters underneath that had to be filled. I may put this in a diorama down the road so I built the left side stowage boxes with the hatches open. Dragon does provide some nice brass parts for the fenders but supposedly there was a jig in the kit somewhere to bend those posts but as of now I have no idea where it is in the parts spaghetti. I started on the bridge sections and Dragon was kind enough to leave huge punch craters right across the metal ridges in the bridge. I filled those with round rod but now I have to contour them to the ridges. Getting closer to primer time.

Those rfillers are on nasty spots indeed.. Yes indeed, Bert! They could not have picked a worse spot on the model. At first I thought there may actually be a holes on the real bridge sections; er, no. Just atrocious engineering by Dragon.

Thanks, Boots! More stellar engineering from Dragon.

I was tempted to say` MUD` or `TARP`

Seems like tarps and mud are pretty much a necessity with Dragon kits. It just hit me I have two of these going on at one time because the Zvezda BTR is ex-Dragon.

Hi Ian, I have a feeling that the holes on the bridge section that you filled are actually meant to be there. I think a securing piece goes in there to mount them onto the vehicle.
