Thanks so much, guys, and sorry for the late response as I am getting caught back up in the forums. Instructions not withstanding, the Dragon kit does build up into a nice 251. I got the MIG Dunkelgelb base coat applied and did some post-shading with that same color but lightened with some Vallejo Iraqi Sand. I think I am going to do green squiggles over the yellow, prior to the white wash/mud slop layer.

Thanks, guys! Had to make an adjustment due to the paint scheme. Since it's in the Dunkelgelb scheme depicting it with white wash at Kharkov March '43 probably would not be accurate so we are going to jump forward to Kursk '43 and there will be no whitewash.

Trying to get back to the bench after getting over the various health hurdles over the past two weeks. Small update on the -251 and I got the green camo sprayed on. I decided to just go with the green squigglies over the yellow and these were free-handed with a #1 fine tip with an extremely high psi so the paint could not form until it got on the model. I have started with the wheels and tracks, next.

Cool beans Ian, the green of the serpentines stands out great onto the yellow. Are you going to airbrush on a thin and transparent mist of the yellow over the entire model? That's what I do when I apply camo.

That's what I do when I apply camo. Thanks, Guy and Boots! Yes, so it will get two overall filters for my weathering process. The first one will be the very diluted Beige-Brown/Mineral Spirits filter bath which I lay down before I start any of the weathering to tie in all the paintwork. Then, after all the weathering and oils are on it will get an airbrush dust-layer overspray which will be a very diluted shade of some form of yellow with a drop of brown.
