Thanks everyone, haven't done anything last night, had one of the girls over. And noticed it's allmost like an addiction, nearly shaking with withdrawl symptoms

Fantastic progress on this, Bert! Also, by the time you are done you will still have 2000 parts left over in true Dragon fashion.

Thanks everyone, It was only after these pictures I noticed I hadn't placed the dashboard... Dragon doesn't feel the necessity to mention placing it... they completely skip that step..

Thanks everyone, It was only after these pictures I noticed I hadn't placed the dashboard... Dragon doesn't feel the necessity to mention placing it... they completely skip that step.. Yeah, they have a nasty habit of leaving out crucial bits in the maelstrom of instructions.

Thanks everyone, It was only after these pictures I noticed I hadn't placed the dashboard... Dragon doesn't feel the necessity to mention placing it... they completely skip that step.. Well it looks as though you’re wrestling it into shape there and it’ll turn out nice when finished. As for Dragon, it’s a shame really - the do a number of interesting kits but for my taste these type of issues turn what should be a hobby into a frustrating slog. In my experience that’s particularly prevalent with the kits that take multiple existing kits to make a variant with some added sprues. I remember looking for a couple of parts and thinking well that’s not them, no problems they probably just given them the wrong number, nope still can’t find them, so let’s look at the sprue layout to see what’s going on, oh you’ve included two sprues marked ‘T’ from two different kits, how nice. Saying that the Type 95 Ha-Go was a lovely build with no issues whatsoever.

Thanks everyone, and I hope you guys don't think I don't like this kit, because it is a very nice kit, great detailing, really good fit, not very much cleaning up needed, no problems with that, worth every eurocent... It just takes a lot of getting used to, can't just follow the instructions. Did Revell, Esci, Italeri, Trumpeteer LAV's, they had sometimes more problems with fitting, detailing etc, but it was a more 'logic' building proces. And yes, I think the main problem is that this kit is part of a series, because I think I can also build the standard version from this kit, there is a .50 etc... there are 3 sets of rear compartments in this, and offcourse it saves a company a lot of money to use only 1 set of molds for that. But than they should make sure the instructions are clearer... Anyways... been doing some building last night, this is what she looks like at this moment: I am waiting for a stowage set for those rear baskets, or I might juse the stuff from the kit, there is a whole (softish, rubbery) sprue with stowage:

That is looking awesome Bert You're are right with the series, the Dragon M3's have 5 or 6 if I remember rightly . Beware of that rubbery stowage, some of that material can sweat under paint, it'll keep turning glossy and become very sticky too . Before you use it, I'd test paint a piece and leave it a couple of days to see what happens

Thanks for the advice Paul! I didn't know that, thought it would be the same material as those old style tracks, sure feels like that, and I have painted them on my M60 and M109 without problems, but will be more arefull with this stowage!

Good too see the tricky instructions didn’t hold you back….looking superb Most of the time it just takes some knowledge of your subject and some basic problem solving to get through them
