Here’s this weekend’s efforts. Upper hull colour modulation with XF88 and XF59. First wash of Raw Umber oils which I need to let dry off before dry brushing and detail painting.  Running gear has had XF88 on the wheels then XF84 Dark Iron sprayed on tracks and allowed to catch the edge of the wheels. Oil wash on so it’ll need to dry before highlights can be added. Won’t be too muddy this one.  More when I can chaps |

Thanks for the comments fellas, it’s appreciated this end for sure! So tonights efforts where mainly on the running gear. Silver highlights on the track horns and suchlike. Then dry brushed the wheels with Revells version of Dark Yellow enamel to bring out some details. Just a final wash to pull it together and make it pop and it’ll be done. Also dry brushed the upper hull, which is only a push fit to the lower hull at the moment . More to do there… B)  |
