Been a while since I last visited here, so time for some work on this one  . A word of advice, if you use an acrylic matt coat after oil pin-washing, don't use pigments mixed with acrylic thinner, as a pigment fixer  . I did, and I ended up with ugly tidemarks everywhere  . The thinner lifted the matt coat under the pigments, which caused the tidemarks. Remedy; Brick of Doom , well nearly. I took some of that micro-mesh and gently sanded the tidemarks off, yes it works but it is very time consuming. Anyhow, here is how looks at the mo. More to come yet and this time, I'll use odourless turps or enamel thinners

Mind if I ask why you have the front of the searchlight in black? I suppose it has a cover on it, but I don't see that, would have expected some kind of canvas or so... could just be my bad eyesight offcourse

You can see it is black on the box art.
