I've been mulling over some builds and some build ideas. I was digging around the stash hoping to find a suspended build I could fiddle with a bit. One of my problems is that I tend to over-plan on projects and it's easy for me to get sidetracked and lose interest. So the idea is to find some of these hibernating monsters and simplify things down to manageable sized builds. Avoid over-planning and...play it by ear.

These six figures are resin offerings from DES. I bought these back in the 90s through Squadron Mail Order...pre-online store Squadron. Most aren't bad. The one tank crew figure (back row, far right) looks sloppy and cheap. The infantry are a Hotchkis MG crew on the march but the MG was garbage. I have a replacement for them to carry...somewhere. The paintjobs are garbage and they will be redone...whatever I do with them.

Two French tankers from a Dragon figure set.

Heller Renault R35 bought for a GB.

Al-By's ancient Panhard. This was a 90s purchase from Squadron. The kit is simple at under 20 pieces and the detail really isn't bad. Thankfully, the ICM Panhard exists.

A mix of the Tamiya Carrier and Heller 2cm antitank gun. They work together. The 2cm gun came with the Heller R35. The UE...I don't know how long I've had it. It's actually a nice little kit. Reminds me of a Weisel.

So with all that on display, I think I'll take a step and maybe use the Al-By Panhard with the ICM one. The Al-By is horribly dated so I see it as a background piece. And maybe pose it behind the ICM Panhard. Since these were pressed into security, signals, and propaganda services I might go that way. I already shot a coat of gray on the Al-By kit about 30 mins ago.
So that's a beginning I guess. I still have to decide what role they are in. I do have some ideas for some of the other pieces but I'll hold off for now...I don't want to get ahead of myself...again. It'll give me time to do a bit of the Googling to check on a few things. We'll see how it goes.
