Primers now on, due to the many nooks & crannies I went with mr surfacer black primer thinned with mr leveling thinner. went down a treat and is silky smooth. Really popped lots of fine details too. next will be NATO green which will be lightened quite a bit with some tamiya flesh.

First colour on, a good coat of tamiya NATO green XF 67. As some of you may know tamiya changed the tones of some of their paints a while ago and this was one of them. The new XF 67 is much darker than the original so for scale purposes and the fact gloss and weathering will darken the tone I added quite a big dollop of tamiya XF 15 flat flesh to the green. Should do the trick I think.

Cheers guys, the initial coats of the camo have now gone on and here I used XF 68 NATO brown with white added and XF 85 tyre black again with white. Used the tyre black as I'm out of NATO black. I found that the paint guide on the instructions is not quite right so used some refs to get a more accurate pattern. next will be some refining of the pattern using all three colours to finish it off and tighten up the pattern.
