I have been slow in posting things but I do have some projects going. I have started an Academy 1/48th scale FGA.9 Hunter that I plan to depict in Rhodesian AF livery. It will be in the Earth Brown/Dark Green camouflage and it carried no markings except for the Rhodesian AF fin flash. I have a KMC resin ejection seat for the model, fortunately, because the Academy kit seat is about 1/72 scale. Assembly, however, has been a breeze and it is a very nice model indeed. I plan to depict it with two drop tanks and two outboard rocket pods. I also plan to mask and paint the fin flash. Anyway, almost ready for primer and hopefully I will be painting soon. Regards, Ian

Thanks gents. Steve, you are absolutely right. The folks at Hawker really made a thoroughbred with the Hunter because it really is a beautiful airplane. I love watching Hunter clips on YouTube. Very sleek and fast.
Best wishes,
Ian

I did some work on the Hawker Hunter, finally. I post-shaded the Dark Earth with a lightened shade of Earth mixed with Insignia Yellow. I then masked off the Brown with 3M 2090 tape and applied the RAF Dark Green. This was also post-shaded with the Dark Green which was mixed with Insignia Yellow. Next will be the panel line work. Regards, Ian

Looking very nice indeed Ian . I used that Vallejo paint on the inside of my Meoteor, and the Silver on my Spit. I must say I am really impressed with way it covers, even without primer .
