Worked a little today, lots of issues...
First, HobbyBoss Mig-17 PF :: - Wheels on.
Problems... well, the instructions didn't mention the need for ballast, and since I was having metal landing gear, I was thinking there was no problem there. My mistake.. I will need to glue the aircraft on a base. Other errors caused by the Resin Cockpit, the front wheel attachment is about 1,5 cm into the fuselage, also the wheel bay doors attachment is about 0,8 cm too high. I will only put the wheel bay doors. Many things went wrong with this one, starting with the Resin Cockpit that did a "domino effect" on the rest of the build. The landing gear metal legs are too thin and bend very easily. The 2 wing metal pitot tubes are too large for the wings. Anyway... after this I will try using Panel Liner set in this build.

Next, Meng's M3A3 ::
The wheels were done. I tried to put them on... the holes on the wheels simply don't fit.
tried to remove the paint, but it didn't fit anyway . I'm a little frustrated with this build. Spent days painting the wheels, and they simply don't fit.
Even the tracks are fine... Forcing the wheels a little more, I will end up breaking the suspension arms for sure.
I will paint the tools next and then some weathering.

Good lord John, you are really having some issues here. Stick at it though, those Bradly wheels will only need drilling a little.

And that Mig could always be used as a nice testobject for paint, weathering etc... but it does loop nice !

Yes, I know... when this happens at the final stretch of the builds .. I wasn't very happy yesterday. But I try to see the positive side, Live and Learn, with these mistakes hopefully I will improve my next builds !
I will try drilling the wheels without damaging too much, since there is a vinyl part inside the wheels, let's see how that goes... not very confident I admit

And that Mig could always be used as a nice testobject for paint, weathering etc... but it does loop nice ! You are right, I will test the weathering Panel Liner Set I got last month. That Resin Cockpit messed with the front of the Aircraft, the front wheel bay, fixing the landing gear, the wheel bay doors, the canopy, the front and side panels and fixing the wings since the wing attachment was divided in Two, one part was on the front of the fuselage and another on the rear panels.
But it stands on 3 legs and looks like a Mig-17, that's not all bad news !

Well, drilling worked... but these are now a little too loose. Switched the drill head, and I will see how it stands on the other side. Better to have loose wheels than no wheels at all.

Hmm think I had a similar issue with the Bradley when I built it.

John, sorry to hear about the wheels but maybe a few passes with a large bit in a pin vise will get the space you need. Problems not withstanding, the MIG looks excellent. A base will take care of that ballast problem.

Hmm think I had a similar issue with the Bradley when I built it. Now you mention it, I had the same problem on the Meng Model TS014 T-90 Russian MBT w/TBS-86 Tank Dozer. Maybe this problem runs all through their modern vehicles??

As you noticed I ran into a few issues with it.
Maybe if I hadn't got the Resin Cockpit it would be a nicer build without so many headaches ... Let's hope the Mig-15 will be better !

I hope I am wrong John. When you start the T-90, just try to stick the poly caps on the axles before you glue them between the wheels, you'll find out fast enough that way if they fit or not . Your workings look very good again fella, there some grand detail on the gear box and the weapons station. the wash on the Magach has really brought some life to the old gal indeed
