This is a busy thread but it's really interesting. I'd have binned that Yak by now so hats off to you buddy!
I still have another engine to build, wings and wheels... so that's not out of the question yet...
Thanks for the support !

Panther update :
I already painted those plastic bits that needed some paint on the idler and sprocket. Tomorrow I'll add some filters and wash on both. The drilled fenders got the side skirts supports, I also glued the cooling engine fans inside the hull, and glued the fenders too.
Next :: I'll have to add more details on the hull and start the tracks.
Stay tuned fellas !!

Thanks Paul & Boots !!
The tracks will the most tedious part... checked the instructions and the rest is quite ok, just have to pay attention to which version I'm picking.
I already finished 2 builds, I'm hoping to get this one and the Bradley and one of the aircraft done by Dec 31st 23:59 ..

The supports for all the tools and tracks are in place. most of the rear area is done too, only the engine mesh grills are missing. At the front I need to add the periscopes and the gun transport holder.
I messed up the adding the small chain for the MG port hatch, there are 2 very small pins to attach both sides of the chain, but with a totally flat chain it's a little hard to get it right, and working with Super Glue. I will wait to let dry completly and try to sand a little.

Looking good John, you're getting on darned well Sir . I try and avoid those PE chains if I can, I think Trumpeter do some rather nice small ones.

Thanks !!
Dragon Panther's, Ausf. D and Ausf. F are great kits, some of the best I've worked with. But this one from Meng, I think it has more detail and it's easier to work on, the instructions are clearer, the tracks are not the best, I would prefer some Magictracks from Dragon, these ones have 3 pieces for each link, it will be a test for my patience for sure

You're right... but at this stage, I'll stick with this one, I should have planned better. Also the boxart tank has some Zimmerit, but not inside the box, there is no reference on the instructions sheet.
I really want to try to get both Meng kits done by the end of the year, but the tracks with their multi-part single links ( Panther & Bradley ) will be a test to my patience ( along with A-Model kits... )
But coming back to the bench this year was great, I'm really happy finishing already 2 kits and with luck and a bit of work done, I might get the Panther, Bradley and the M1151 .
Thanks for the support !!

It is damned good to see you building again John . It won't take much longer and you will be back, knocking out builds like back then on Armorama
