Here we go detail painting. What do you all think of the mission models LRDPG pink? ![](https://i.ibb.co/f84knDM/8748-ABE4-4-DB5-4-D7-A-B6-D9-A5-F948-ABFFF7.jpg)

It looks a bit pale to me but with acoat of gloss it will be spot on I think.

Not as bad as I thought it would be, colour wise that is. The weathering will really look good over this ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png)

Thanks Paul and PorcoRosso. Bit of cam using life color earth and a sort of buff colour. ![](https://i.ibb.co/92L6gt4/78-FDC78-C-D8-C9-4-FB4-93-C9-443-C0-B0041-A9.jpg) Looks a bit more deadly. How did yours turn out PorcoRosso?

Not seen that style of cam before i have too say ![:)](//storage2.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) It’s from the instructions Boots. ![](https://i.ibb.co/k4803Hf/97-C01-B69-12-C9-4-B54-9461-895-DC3-DEDDDC.jpg) ![](https://i.ibb.co/H4h8HFK/B1-E3-E5-EF-4-A6-F-4184-AD7-F-07-FC57-F940-AA.jpg) I used a very old brush and just slapped the dark colour and then the light colour on top. I figured all they did was just slap the paint on in the desert.

Looks very nice indeed!! Judging by the instructions you have to camouflage your tires too?
|
|
|
Post by tommygunn on Jun 6, 2022 9:51:17 GMT
Yes bwilt. But I reckon the paint would just fall off the tyres. Done some weathering with a sponge. Olive drab and black to represent the original colours. ![](https://i.ibb.co/JqFw9Wq/327-F9-B1-B-99-D7-460-A-817-E-6474-F416253-E.jpg) Mission model paints - not a fan. Any paint on top just does not hold and takes ages to dry.

I have seen a clip/thread somewhere of a guy that sprays his tyres with the necessary dust effects/weathering etc and then when dry he gently squeezed the tyre to allow the paint to make natural cracks in the side wall.........he then sealed them with a matt coat........probably wouldn`t work for me as per usual ![(rofl)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/rofl.png)

That would work if you had rubber tyres.
