Ran across an interesting thing concerning the Cupola Searchlight this morning. Here are the parts involved.  Instructions and placement pictures.   It looked backwards to me. With the lamp pointed to the closed end of the housing and the closed end of the housing pointed forward. Did some research and the instructions are correct as shown in these photo's.   So I put it together.......   And placed it on the paint plank with the rest of the stuff to be done.  So that's that.  Off to the Celler shortly to get some color down. AAACW |

Hehe! Indeed I did😉😁 sweet u/d Master Jeff. Is the snow still 4 feet deep: Yes it is my friend, yes it is still freggin 4 feet deep. Its been snowing all week 😲 😨 It's getting warmer from now on. We should be able to start the season in a week or two...At least I'be worked a little at the local high school( giving woodworking class) This way I have a little cash to push trought this crappy winter! I raise my hat to all of you working in schools!! I would prefer to go back in the army than to do this for a full year! hahaha, they are nerve wrecking that is for sure😥😂

As for getting used to kids: 1 week left and I am back in the woods working for the regional park!😉😂

nice work Jeff I think that search light has a flap to cover when not in use, the other is for I.R (I think)

Jeff, Phil I don't envy you guys at all with your snow . We have had 28° C today and tomorrow is gonna be the same again. I'll lay in the sun down the allotment for both of you . The black, or very deep red one is indeed IR, the other is covered just so not accidentally light up the battle field and give your position away |

Great colourificationism mate ! The colour on the turret is simply beautiful. Which one is it ? Or is it a home made one ? I hope you'll go for different shades of the turret colour ! It will make it much more interesting.

Boots, Ta Mushty. Paul, Most gracious, Sir. Guy, It's a mix, my friend. 1 part XF-78 to 2 parts XF-55. I'm going to try some shading on it but I'm not very good at it. We'll see what happens. Had some extra track links left over so what the heck. Glued some together, made up some brackets and stuck'em on the Hull.    Like they say in the Middle East, Abyssinia. AAACW |
