I know this is now June, but this is a model I finished last month. It was the subject chosen for the SoCal AMPS 12-hour group build challenge. We all had twelve hours to complete a model. These twelve hours were broken down into three four-hour build times; all done together over Zoom once a month. I completed this on May 29 after 11 hours and 14 minutes.... Aoshima 1/72 scale Japanese GSDF Material Handler:    I only lightly weathered this as I figured it would mostly be used on supply bases. I could be wrong, but it allowed me to get it done on time. I did add some dust in the corners off the loading bay, but it's hard to see in these pics. Thanks for looking in, comments are welcome. |

Thank you gentlemen! As for as I know, this vehicle is done only in 1/72 scale by Aoshima. I find that interesting since so many 1/35th scale companies are doing so many esoteric vehicles already.

Very nice and a rarely seen model!! And I noticed Aoshima does quite a few models that are only in 1/72, and most of them in JSDF service.

Thank you Bert! Yes, Aoshima has a lot of 1/72 scale modern Japanese equipment. I'd been waiting decades for someone to start kitting modern Japanese vehicles in my scale and finally Aoshima has done so. They've even got Fujimi on the bandwagon as they also have a number of the 1/72 scale modern Japanese vehicles.
