Making good progress there and although it’s a lovely detailed kit those parts were just too much for me. The crossed that line from enjoyable to frustrating.

I did remember Paul after a few broke Glad you think so Pete, first time I've done anything like that Jabster, the small bits of PE are verging on ridiculous so you wont be seeing them on here

Tamiya Extra Thin Phil

Post by Paul B on May 2, 2020 12:59:05 GMT
Phil, as Ian said it's Tammy glue, the normal stuff not the extra fast. If give the the thin rod parts in a Miniart kit, a thin coating and then cut them from the sprue, there is 90% chance that they don't disintegrate . This isn't my idea, somebody on here gave me the tip as I building my Miniart T54/1 back in 2017

Nice progress on the hull and tracks! Yes, lots of small parts but the result is worth it.

Okee Dokee more T54 madness More etch and brass rod Made a start on the turret at last, I've decided life is too short to worry about what's inside the turret so it's crack on with what can be seen

Just an idea, does anyone have any close up pics of how these fuel drums are fitted

Post by Paul B on May 18, 2020 8:47:01 GMT
Ian I don't think these were fitted to the T54-2. That pic of yours is a series T55 ole chap. The only things on the rear plate are the smoke generators, which you have already fitted She's looking good now ole chap, not much more and it'll be paint time
