Didn't you think to get them to do the rigging for you whilst they were there?

Ok got a question for you.
Done a bit on this the other day and the wheels which I normally put on sticks to paint have now got little spindles coming out of where the sticks would normally go in, hmm, never come across this before. What's the best way to paint them? with no stick to mount them on
I'm sure Paul will put me right

I put small amounts of Blue tac in little piles on a scrap board and then poke the stud part into the blu tac, you can spray them all at once then, also it keeps any build up of residue paint off the locating stud.......less clean up, i find the paint build up can affect fitment.

But you can't spray the back of the wheel like that, can you?

If you make sure they are in the blu tac quite firm you can angle the board and get underneath, i don`t bother going to mad on the inner sides any way on a tank......spray ya primer, leave `em in there and spray ya base........you`ll find enough of the base coat gets underneath anyway. I use this method all the time on wheels with locating studs rather than holes. The other option is to mask the stud and then stick in the blu tac and spray one side....once dry turn them over and spray the other side.

Ah yes I remember now . Have you built the wheels completely already? If yes you have fallen into the same trap as I did . If not then you could glue the tyred parts together and add parts HK1 and HK4 after painting. Hk 1 could also be painted separately and then glued in later, that way you can use the sticks to hold the wheels. If this has all been fixed in place, then either do that which Boots suggests, or paint in situ with the tracks as I did. It is a little tricky, but I am sure you can pull it off Ian . Primed Paint after pigments I hope the hijack helps fella
