How in the hell did you get that blue and red colour painted onto the dials?
The result is stupendous.

Pete, Wouts, Steve, thank you muchly fellas . Today I started off with the nose cover and canard. Two of the MG's were cast in place here and they didn't look too good. So I drilled them out and added 4 barrels made from Loctite glue applicators . After that a shed load of lead and a dollop of Humbrol Putty was glued into the nose section, just to be on the safe side . It was then that I started the difficult task of sanding the raised panel lines out. I say difficult because it isn't that easy to do. You have to be careful not to flatten out the rounded areas and also, when you think it's done, it bloody well ain't . While turning the fuselage in the light, you can see panel lines that haven't been smoothed out. Anyway, after roughly an hour of sanding, I think I have the fuselage done. Next will be the wings. To see how the fit of the wing root looked, I glued the wings together and dry-fitted them to the fuselage . Quite surprised with the fit of these, not much misfit at all

I admire your dexterity and patience. Sanding and smoothing out is never as easy as it seems.

Tommy cheers mucker . I must admit, once you get started it becomes a little therapeutic Wouts, appreciated my dear neighbour . This and using hypodermic needles, is a trick I picked up from a magazine way back in the 90's

"As life is" . 10 minutes ago I found the Scribing tape . The bugger fell out of the drawer it was in and, landed at the bottom of the cabinet, hidden from view . Naturally though, I ordered a new roll of Scribing tape yesterday

Good to see you found your tape, Paul. Looking forward to seeing how it works when it's used for a big project.
