Chaps. Airbrush is defo dead and not going to be replaced for a few weeks so I will stick some stuff instead. Lately I have really been bitten by what ifs, paper Panzers, fantastic proposals for some truly magnificent vehicles. I have spent many evenings buried in the Googleweb hungry to find what little detail might be available about some of them. Its probably never been a better time to have an interest in such things as the kit manufacturers are busy getting some pretty cool subjects released. Amusing Hobby seem to be at the front of the line with almost all their releases being of this genre, so without further ado, I will be trying to put this together using a blunt knife, some old glue and a tin of rattle can primer... This vehicle was intended to counter the threat posed by the Soviet JS tanks utilizing a 32 pounder (183mm) QF gun in a rear mounted turret sitting on a Conqueror chassis, it only made it as far as a wooden mockup before the project was shelved. Welcoming interested parties...

Chaps. Nice assortment in the box. Indy track links with this one which is nice, earlier releases had two piece links which are best avoided... Two options for suspension, fixed or with a metal spring so it's workable. Also in the box is a small PE fret but I think AH fell down using grey styrene for the clear parts. Anyway, not the end of the world, looking forward to having a go.

Chaps. In an attempt to deal with potentially the most tedious part of construction I tackled the tracks first. Actually, not bad at all, two links to a mini sprue, careful use of the blade results in no need for cleanup after and they snap together with a fairly positive click and remain workable. From start to finish, both track runs nailed in just under an hour, you get about ten links spare. Cheers.

That with tracks sounds familiar , the Bär also had 3 piece indie links that just wouldn't go together . Looks like a typical full box though , waiting for the first steps

Can't wait to see this one built up. That's an impressive beast there.

Chaps. Paul, yep, nasty but AH seem to be doing a small degree of retooling on some of their kits which they benefit greatly from. Boots, welcome buddy. Ian, welcome to my inane ramblings. More soon.

Chaps. Hull is up and running. The sticky outy bits seem to serve a dual purpose, stopping the suspension units from rebounding too far when not under load and providing support for the lower armour panels. Cheers.

Robbo, armour indeed, not my forte but I'll give it a go.
Mack, welcome, as soon as there is a bit more on the hull I will organize some sort of comparison shot.

Chaps. Eight suspension assemblies are complete. Despite the spring being a touch under scale, I used that option to make them workable. It's highly unlikely you will notice once they are installed with wheels. Ta.

Chaps. Suspension is in but wheels are a dry fit only for now to ease painting. Instructions state 98 track links, Prof says 97. Looking ok to me, ACW. I'm off to Crete early tomorrow so next update will be in a week or so. Thanks.
