Well, lovely looking boobes.. sorry.. bombes.... great colors on those curves... that plane's curves... that nice girl on the front is a great camouflage, distracting me so will have done the same on those Japanese flyers... what is left to desire?

I made some progress on the P-40. She's on her wheels now and I added the drop tanks and 500 lb. bombs since I wanted the plane to look "busy." The bombs and tanks were weathered pretty heavily with oils and Vallejo washes. I wanted more weathering on the plane since the 1/1 scale versions were pretty beat up. I did some dot filter washes on the wings with oils and mineral spirits to give the plane a more streaked and faded appearance. This was done over a gloss varnish because Mission Model paints are sensitive to mineral spirits. The oils blended fine over the varnish with no issues. I just have to muddy up the wheels because they were really caked with slop in the photos. Almost ready for matte varnish and the rest of the small parts.

The panels look nice as well with their depth in the paint. The bombs are a must imo, cool ehrm...beans!
