Thanks all of you guys! You are too kind. I have plenty of work left to mess this up ! I somehow don't think that will happen

I agree with Paul. Even if you do; you always fix it so well that it is impossible to tell anything went wrong. You make this all look so effortless.

Now that is some amazing airbrushing considering the scale of the model!

Progress is slow, but steady: some more work with etches because I am waiting for my weathering paints to arrive from Poland. Luckily my local vendor found me a replacement parts so now I can proceed with the bridge.

What an amazing shipwright, you are. That gun mount is gorgeous and superb work with the photo etch on the superstructure section. I am reading "Guadalcanal" by Richard Frank and the IJN Kagero and all her sisters are mentioned frequently in the chapters about the the naval engagements during the fight for the island. These really were excellent destroyers.

While waiting for my last paint batch to arrive from Poland, I have been practising on how to do the weathering for the hull below waterline. Made a simplified exercise based on the work of Olli-Pekka Immonen (http://www.shipmodels.info/mws_forum/viewtopic.php?f=60&t=166129&sid=2aabbd2d16083d7dc4c942b5bb8d0448&start=20). Received some valuable notes from him which helped me to correct some issues. Anyway, very difficult to get the subtle result because my eyes just are not good enough even with magnifying glasses. And photos seem to exaggerate everything when you enlarge a small detail 10 times. Maybe I need a better camera ? Same applies for the painting of turrets where I also followed work from Immonen (http://www.shipmodels.info/mws_forum/viewtopic.php?f=60&t=163104&start=40). But I guess it means, more practise.
Also, some work with fine PE details. Difficult to stay patient and not to hurry too much in order to get everything finished.

Karih, the camera can do a lot unjustice indeed, but to my eye this work looks darned good . You are doing a grand job ole chap, and learning a lot along the way too

Awesome detail on the torpedo launcher and the turret. I have been reading about the Long Lance torpedo in my "Guadalcanal" book and those really were a deadly piece of ordnance. Really gave offensive punch to the Kagero Class.
