Thanks Ian and Paul, I have to try everything to make this uniform yellow tank a bit more interesting. This seems to have worked moreless. Joe, thank you mate! Ian (robbo), my pleasure buddy. Bert, well it's a humble start of the rustification. Boots, it works for me, I love these two oil colours to use to make another colour cooler or warmer. And it's great to blend them to make a very forgiving dark wash. Marco, thanks brotha. Pete, people raise that bar here on MHO all te time so I can't stay behind. O yes, needles to say you're one of them meisters. Today I tried to add more depth in the Zimmerit. I used AK wash for DAK vehicles. It's ideal to work the Zimmerit with as it doesn't darken it too agressively. I used it in the lower parts, thinned with enamel thinner. The slightly blue-ish shade creates a very convincing shadow. The thinned wash was also dabbed with a sponge onto the horizontal surfaces to make these look slightly dirty. The rear deck was given extra rust effects but this is not done.

Spare track time again. A couple of different greys was brushed on. This will make the rustification easier. Tools were given the same coats. Question for the specialists in smoke dischargers in : were the smoke charges black maybe, now mine have the same colour as the tubes ?

Thanks guys! The sideskirts have a rusty look now and the weld seams of the turret were subtly metallized with H.....l enamels. More shadow effects were added to the Zimmerit without making the whole thing too dark. Again I used the DAK vehicles wash. I also painted chipped bare steel but barely visible.

Your two cents will be taken under consideration chaps. Tomorrow I'll paint the helmet and the tarp on the rear deck, oil spills...then the spare tracks and the exhausts.
