Revell of Germany 1/32 FW-190 A-8/R-2

Thanks for stopping in, gents. I have started the painting process. I began by making mask templates for the eagle motif on the -190. On this particular bird, the head of the eagle was painted over due to the blue/black cowling but the remaining 2/3rds of the motif remained on the fuselage, also in blue-black and with a white border. After making the templates, I transferred the image to low-tack Frog Tape and applied them over the black areas on the fuselage. After the cowling and eagle motif were masked off I sprayed the entire aircraft with AK Air RLM-76. This was post shaded with -76 lightened with white. Next I sprayed the RLM-75 which was the lighter grey tone. I noticed that every paint manufacturer's RLM-75 tone is different and I went with AK Air which is "less violet" than some of the other tones but I thought it would go well with the black trim. Next I sprayed the RLM-74 which is the darker green grey. I will post shade both of these colors, next. I also started adding the mottling to the vertical stab and fuselage sides as well.

Thanks, Guy! Well most of the paint work is done on "Double Chevron-Squigglie Thingie" (no fuselage number on this one) and I must say the black nose looks pretty wicked. All the masks are off and about ready to start some weathering. I didn't mention earlier, but I spray painted the white fuselage band using Tamiya White, as well. 

Yeah, Boots! That seems to happen a lot here lately. I couldn't see the pics in Guy's thread and one of Tommy's---then they suddenly appear.
