Thanks guys and just like Uncle Night Shift, I actually remembered to wash this one in soapy water before priming. I started doing that several years ago, especially on clear parts. I didn't realize what havoc these mold release agents can cause with the paint. Trumpeter and HobbyBoss have especially toxic mold release residue.

I have only occasionally. I stopped when I kept losing too many pieces to the mesh I placed over the drain to catch them. Didn't lose anything to the carpet monster, but they sure made it difficult sometimes to keep from feeding him.

I used a bowl of warm soapy water and a soft brush to clean the model. Gets rid of all the bits of dust so worth doing. Need to be gentle or has dukemaddog said, you will loose bits down the drain. Here is the model painted, highlighted and chipping fluid. Here is the winter camo. Will take a lot of it off.

Thanks Paul. Used deck tan to lighten the mixture. Not so bad as first attempt.

Now that looks cool. I can always appreciate some good chipping session. The winter whitewash turned out nicely, that's an awesome base for further weathering.
