Bert, they make a big difference in a novice's first ever built office. The seat was completed with the belts. Btw guys, this Vallejo metal paint sprays superb and even by brush the results are fantastic.

Those seat belts certainly make a difference Guy . It wont be long before you start painting dials and other bits yourself

That looks stunning, Guy. Those belts look great. You’ve made an excellent job of the cockpit.

Paul I think I find this pre-coloured stuff just great, I like to paint fiddly bits from time to time but this tasts for more. Joe, thanks brotha, I'm glad you like it after the effort you did to help me. Thanks Tommy! The cockpit is done for now as I'm expecting paint to arrive...I had a blast already with this flyer thing.

The instruments decals were added to the fuselage halves and this makes the cockpit complete. The cockpit fits -as expected- perfect and the fuselage parts went together nicely. It's remarkable how small the cockpit is compared to the pretty large body, a lot of detail got lost in its depths and darkness. I'm still waiting for my paint to arrive, maybe tomorrow...

Well on the way now Guy That is the biggest drawback of aircraft modelling, the cockpits are usually quite dark when in situ. I try to remember this and paint a tad lighter than it should be, but I don't always remember that

Great progress, Guy. The completed cockpit looks very good. Like you said. It’s a big aircraft. It’s a shame Tamlya didn’t release it with folding wings.

That's a shame indeed, it can be done with extensive scratchwork but I'll keep myself low profile and therefor I won't do that (read like this : I'm 100% sure that I'd ferk it up in a way never seen before).

Your are right, Guy. Keep it simple and it will turn out absolutely brilliant. A company called, Wolfpack made a wing fold set. Not sure if it's still available.
