I could have sworn that I'd commented earlier, sorry Ian.
The wings look huge so I bet they are heavy. You'd need a metal hinge to fold them I reckon. Good catch on the strakes too.

Thanks, Steve! Yes, the wings are extremely heavy because almost 50% of the wing area folds. It is going to be much simpler just to leave them down.

Thank you, Mr. B. Word is from the Corrosion Control Team that the Light Gull Grey is inbound from Spruebrothers.

Well, back on the KA-3B and not far behind Guy with a Gull Grey over White 'Nam paint scheme. Epic priming session today and this killed off about 3/4 of a bottle of Tamiya primer, so far. The fit on all the sub-assemblies is excellent so everything will be painted, weathered and decaled separately and then put together at the end. I still have a few rough spots to work over but making some headway.

Nice, and 3/4 of a bottle, that's a lot of paint...

Nicely done. That must of been a rather long priming session!

I have touched up the last few imperfections in the sanding and filling and re-shot those areas with Tamiya Primer. Now ready for a ton of Light Gull Grey and Insignia White.
