Joe, Steve---thanks, guys! I made some progress on the Rivet Joint and got the mighty CFM-56 engine nacelles attached. The fit was kind of odd because the left side nacelles had a front-to-back gap that I am going to fix with plastic shims and the right side nacelles had side-to-side gaps that I had to fill with putty. Next will be some more sanding and blending.

Joe, Pete--thanks, gents! I made a little more progress on the Snooper. I am still working on the wing joint and nacelle joints but slowly getting them blended. I also made sheet-stock pedestals for the dorsal antennae, since I cut all that off to sand the spine seam, and got those glued on. I then sanded off all my marker arrows on the fuselage to avoid any paint bleed-through catastrophes.

I finally got some bench time in and I worked on the RC-135. This kit has been kind of an eccentric build and was not the walk in the park I thought it was going to be. I got most of my sanding done and then hit it with the Tamiya primer. However, I was still not happy with the sanding and filling around the three avionics domes on the forward fuselage. I decided to shave those off as well and I fabricated new blisters out of sheet stock and spare parts. I got the spine seam cleaned up underneath and then reinstalled the avionic bumps. After I had primed her, I also noticed some very small dig marks and craters in the plastic all over the plane, which I had missed, so I went back and filled all those. I then hit it with primer again and I think we are now ready for the Insiginia White over Aircraft Gray paint scheme.
