Time to build my Italeri AB 41. To give some back round, when the Italians surrendered a lot of equipment ended up at the hands of the Greeks. Most could not be used due to lack of parts and fuel, but some, mainly wheeled vehicles, found their way in the begging of the civil war in the battle for Athens. They were used from the communist side and they were very effective until they met the Shermans..... I guess when they started losing they just threw everything in the battle. The use of lightly armored vehicles in a city is always a bad idea, but to speak the truth, poor use of armor is something that keeps happening even to this day. Such a vehicle is the subject here. It attacked in speed lightly armed police officers in the centre of Athens and did a lot of damage until a Sherman rolled up. Well you can see the aftermath in the pics..... Camo remained the same as it was in Italian service with the words ΕΛΑΣ and ΙΡΟΛ, the initials of the communist army and the lower organization that the autoblinda belonged to. I don't intend to build it burnt out, but as it would be before it met that round.... Lets see how this one will go.

Ok ppl. The build has started. Having a small time out to have a glass of whiskey. To the kit. Fit is not perfect, but acceptable. Putty will be needed here and there. I will use Mr surfacer for that since it has to go in some really small cracks between fitting points and there a lot of details near. Other than that good detail and goes together easily. Well i cant upload more pics. Tomorrow with primer on....

I think the forum needs a break and a glass of whiskey as well 🥃 Unless the problems were caused by the forum already having had a glass to many..

Looking very nice indeed John, certainly not bad for it's age . Whisky is a good idea too, it seems to cure everything

Nice start, John, and I think a glass may help with the seams.
