From a couple small scale dioramas I've done myself, I've used some 3d parts designed for model railway modellers (I know they are in 1/76th scale) but you wouldn't notice any difference when all built up. This company do a lot of civilian items also - bathroom sets, washing machine, book shelves, beds, sofa etc. www.modelrailwayscenes.com/collections/oo-scale-1-76
