Wow.. are there not enough parts supplied for you This is going to be a stunning project Ian Boots, Steve---thanks, gents. Steve, the Academy kit is just a basic MH-60. (well, very basic😂😂😂). All that internal armor plating was added to the 160th birds in Somalia as a field-mod. So Academy does not feature that in the kit.

I made a little progress here but still going slowly. I finished off the armor plate mods to the floor and added the armor strips towards the back that will join the rear bulkhead. I also worked on the pilot and co-pilot seats. I noticed a lot of these special ops -60s had automotive style seat covers/cushions added to the seats by the crews. I decided to replicate this by making cushions out of modeling clay which I then attached to the seats. I sealed the clay with diluted Gorilla Wood Glue which would coat the covers and also act as an adhesive. Next, I will apply Mr. Surfacer and stipple it with a stiff brush to replicate the faux-sheepskin seat covers.
