Thank you chaps . Not much, but I have started on the office. There isn't anything for the harness in the kit, so I borrowed some PE from the Tamiya Mk1 Spitfire. After giving it a good burn on the gas cooker some paint was added and then glued into place. The instrument panel is a nightmare, the decal wouldn't settle down at all. So I am somehow going have to paint the dials .

Thank you muchly my dear neighbour . I primed the etch with VMS Metal Primer, then sprayed Tamiya Buff (XF-57). I then added some staining around the buckles using Abt.Oils Burnt umber, which faded towards the harness middle. After that came Vallejo Steel, 71.065, on the buckles

I like that office colour Paul. Annealing the PE certainly helps with fitting

Okay the office is finally in place and the fuselage is joined. In the end I had to use the awful decal for the control panel. The panel had recesses for the dials, without any contours, so painting was not an option. I sanded it flat, painted it black and glued the decal in place using Contacta Clear. The cockpit floor was given some airfield dust pigments, just to dirty it up a tad.

And still it will look ok once the office is closed. The beauty of a seat will pull all the attention away from that instruments panel.
