Steve, Value Gear has many options of stowage to Shermans in 1:48.

Steve, as Marco said Value Gear sets are very nice! I actually recently ordered their 35th scale Sherman Engine Deck storage set along with several miscellaneous item stowage sets. Some of that will be used on my IDF Centurion build.

RB Metal barrel arrived and is fitted , it's not a great fit on the Tamiya kit but a bit of work with a 3.1mm drill sorted it. Added stowage from the Tamiya 1\48 jerry can kit, the resin AM was nice but at 50% of the cost of the kit I gave it a miss. Running gear primed with home brew black already as the gaps are so small that the AB wouldn't be able to get the paint in there. Primer for the top next.

That’s looking good, even more impressive it’s 1/48th scale, Steve.

Thanks chaps your support is appreciated I forgot to take a pic of the black primer so moving swiftly along... here's a home mix of Sherman Green as I'll call it. Rusty iron colour on the tracks, all Tamiya. Details and decals after this has cured for a day or so. Then weathering.

Fit of the tracks is excellent. They are link and length and nearly caused me to turn to drink. Can't find reference anywhere on the web to this so it has to be me but following the instructions to the letter the track is too long by 1\2 a link. I've made them fit and they now look okay but it left me feeling that if I have to fight a Tamiya shake-n-bake there's not much hope for me ! Onwards and sideways. Thanks for the great comments fellas, they really do help B)
