AFV Club Scimitar Project Finished 8/3/23

With both track runs now done I've started adding the rest of the details to the hull. One thing I'm not sure on are the latches on the AFV club plastic bins. I can't seen to find a good reference. One other thing that I will need to do is make a bigger rear hull bin as the kit item is much too small according to my references.

Thanks guys, Ian I never actually paint friul tracks instead I use blacken it solutions to change the colour of the tracks the finish off with pigments filters and what have you. Certainly never had them go too loose.
Now starting work on the turret whilst I again await new parts & yes you've guessed it a new bigger rear hull bin is on it's way! Beats trying to make one. You can see the new ESPIRE sights on the turret which are nicely done. 

The hull etch engine screens are on and I've made a start on the lifting posts using very fine copper wire and plastic rod. I will add some rolled tarps for the engine screens as well soon. Now just working out positions of the turret side bins, Bowman radio box & smoke dischargers.

Those lifting posts are amazing.

Had a great session yesterday and got the turret all sorted. I spent more time measuring and working out part placement but once done that paid dividends giving me a trouble free build up. I particularly like the little Bowman box on the side of the turret. Fire extinguishers are from accurate armour as well. 

Now just some more to do on the engine deck and then once it arrives the fitting of the new rear hull bin.

Looking so good Pete, pe sits flawless, the antennas are a wow factor, resin parts...stunning even without a touch of paint.
