Managed finally to finish the AA guns. It was really a struggle with the Veteran kits (twin 25 mm AA), I just had to skip the smallest parts because I did not have the eyes/steady hand for those. However, the work with the single 25 mm AA guns started to go better towards the end (23 pieces!). Hopefully, I will manage to glue these without any damages.
You aeroplane experts: how would you weather a plane in scale 1:350? I mean, it looks a bit odd if the ship is weathered but not the planes. I was thinking some small actions: highlight the panel joints, add exhaust marks, brush some salt streaks along the larger areas and put some aluminium colour to show some wear (engine cowl, pontoons etc.).

Excellent bit of work karih.
As for the plane, not my thing I am afraid.

Once again, I am stunned by the level of craftsmanship, here. As far as the plane goes, in that scale you could omit the panel lines. However, IJN aircraft did fade a lot so you could depict some slight fading on the green. You might be able to do some very small dot filtering and place tiny dots of white or yellow oils and bleach out a few spots. Exhaust spots would be discernible as would some chipped metal spots, although they would be tiny.

Tried to apply some weathering for the planes. Very difficult to keep it subtle due to the scale. I do not have proper oils so I used AK's salt streaks for the J.N. Grey surfaces and Tamiya XF-57 Buff for the XF-70 Dark Green surfaces. I think it looks OK. Finally, added exhaust marks and tied to create some chipping effect with XF-16 Flat Aluminium. Not perfect, but acceptable (I guess). Those yellow decals for the leading edges were a nightmare. One should fold them almost 180 degrees and they are only 2 mm wide. Used Micro Sol, but still not happy with the result.
Have also been fighting with the rig. Noticed that AK's Mega Thin 20 denier was too tin for my tweezers (could not get proper grip) and also it broke in several occasions (due to CA glue?). So I have now continued with UNI-Caenis 20 denier which seems to be stronger. One would need an extra pair of hands with these... !

The rigging looks nicely complex, weathering on the aircraft looks good too buddy.

Kari, superb weathering on the plane and it looks very realistic for this scale. Amazing detail work on the ship, too!

Thanks all for your nice feedback! Had a little accident while doing construction work at my uncle's villa, so there will be a short pause in modelling. And anyway, it has been +25-30 degrees, so definetely not a modelling weather (my flat is like a sauna ...
