What use are the tools if you can’t get them off? Is there no instructions or anything, Paul?

Tommy there is now way to get off cleanly. I have used these before on the Badger conversion and they were fine. I reckon the mold is showing age and therefore the connection points are getting too thick.

Thanks Ian. It's always best to find things like this early on, it would have been a nightmare to discover that at the end of the build

Ian, LMFAO . Joe, thanks and yes it is a shame. I reckon I can get the Friuls to fit though, even I need a little grinding

Time to get this finally rolling towards the finish line . Two and a half hours of Friulism and we have two sets of tracks that fit the model . I'll get the burnished tomorrow and then painted on Saturday

Cheers muchly Joe . You can guarantee a 98% fit with Friuls every time . There's just a 2% chance that you'll have sort out a half-a-link mismatch

The Sherman looks Grand standing on its steel shoes. Are you looking forward to the paintwork of the tracks, half rubber half steel? Or is it mud coming to the rescue? 🫣😅👍 Or...are they just steel?
You have noticed I'm not specialized in Shermans.🤔

You have noticed I'm not specialized in Shermans.🤔 You should build one, they make very nice kits to put together 👍👍 Looking really good on those tracks, never used friuli because they just double the total price of a model 😪

Thank you all kindly dear fellows . Guy, to answer you question, these are all steel tracks. Although on WWII Sherman with the VVSS suspension there was a ridiculous amount of track types. These were called T54E1, I shall not list now it would be a long list, but here you can see all the different types . the.shadock.free.fr/sherman_minutia/tracks/vvss_tracks.htmlYesterday evening I burnished, painted, washed, and dusted the tracks . They are now permanently in place .
