Not a new build but a renovation. Some might remember this from 2012 when I first built it and in the intervening 11 years the Humbrol varnish had slight yellowed and the silver paint in the headlight and dulled. I wanted to save it as I had the RD80LC when I was 17 so it's 'my' bike. Mine actually had a fairing and belly pan but the version of that kit is long out of production. Very gently sanded the varnish back and recoated with Tamiya gloss clear. Redid the headlight with silver foil and dusted off before a bit of detail painting. Ready to go back into the cabinet for another 11 years    |
