These things are sent to try us buddy, you'll fix it . Doesn't look like a kit killer I won't build after a hard day. That's why my modelling speed is so slow.

The colour is very good, shame about the runs though. I am sure you'll recover this later though

This thread is dead. Everything was painted and things were looking good. Well, the wooden deck was a disaster. The main deck part simply disintegrated while i was peeling it from it's sticker. It was like it took on water or was sprayed with too much glue? I don' t know and i don't care right now. The main issue is that i cannot find the exact one anywhere. Artwox has discontinued the specific item, i wonder why........ So another i found and ordered could be way off regarding the colour of the deck. I cannot get rid of the parts i already placed on the kit, because in order to avoid having them lift after a few months, i used super glue and now i can't get off from the kit without it getting destroyed. FUBAR I am frustrated to say the least. My girlfriend protected the kit from getting binned. I was ready to throw it at the wall... So everything was packed and left aside. I don't see my self continuing this one.

How annoying is that. This is the second wooden deck fiasco on here, there is also one in my 1/72 U-boot kit. I'm seriously considering not using it.

When the other deck arrives we'll see if it can go together with the previous parts. Untill then ....

Hi jkb, Don't get discouraged mate! This modelling is sometimes frustrating and during my short "second" try, I have learned with these complicated ship models (with hundreds of parts and tiny PE stuff) that it is impossible to avoid the mistakes 100%. You miss and you repair. Not very helpful, but this is the name of the game. Several times I have been close to model with my hammer, but one needs to suck it up and continue. Take a break and when you get the inspiration back, then push forward. I also hit the wall with those tiny AA guns and have been doing some forestry work instead...
