These wings are really complicated, do you know the rule of carpentry is measure twice cut once? well this is read the instruction ten times glue once then re check you have done it right. Cut out 1 and 2 but don't glue them together or to 3 "yet", you can glue 4 5 6 together but don't glue them to number 3 "yet" what on earth it's going on about, suppose it will all come good in the end I think the idea is to make sure you get the right ‘bend’ in the wing. Personally I went for make sure the main centre spa is perfectly aligned (easy said than done) with the end alignment points and then glue only the centre of the main spa. Leave it to cure, add all the other spas, glue, and then place a heavy book on top!

I suppose it will all come good but you're not sure where this is going when you start. I'll do some more tomorrow

Awesome work on that interior, Robbo! I am glad they included the wing spar as that will lend lots of strength to the frame since this is a large project.

It really is tricky doing the insides of these wings but like I said I'm sure it will all make sense in the end, well I hope it will

Right hopefully that is the weird bit over with, now walk away until dry There is tonnes to go in the wings and then it's all got to be painted as a lot of it will be on show

It says to paint the wheel wells the interior colour, I done the cockpit and engine in green and the wings in aluminium. What do you reckon? Aluminium?

IX thread over on Britmodeler indicating the circular outer part of the wheel bay is the underside color of the plane. The straight part of the well where the strut goes is the interior color ( RAF Interior Green in your case), silver oleo struts and the gear door interior color is the same color as the underside of the plane.

Ian don't suppose you've got a link to that have you?
I've got a member of our club works at the airfield in Kent where a spitfire flies out of and he said it all depends on where the plane was made, they did all three colours or a mixture of all three. He said you can't go far wrong painting them the same as the underside of the plane

There are no pictures of it, I'm still confused by all the options Just go for whatever option as my understanding is is that there isn’t a correct one.

I'll just paint it the underside colour as that is most pics I've found Right inside the wings is complete the top has been placed just so you can see where it needs painting Got camera problems, my flash wont work I'll try it tonight when it is dark
