Once the masking tape strips were added to the fuselage it was degreased with Tamiya lacquer thinner. I then airbrushed on a mixture of Tamiya Chrome + Metallic Grey, this is my base coat. The strips were removed and tomorrow I'll apply a layer of Tamiya Clear Gloss. Then the masking fun can start again with multiple metallic/alu shades, followed by more masking action.😅😮💨 I'll use Vallejo Dark aluminium, Light aluminium, Silver and Steel for this. Btw the lines are just an indication where to add the filler stuff.

Thanks guys. I tested if my approach works. I started with the different shades of alu and there was just too much contrast, therefor I airbrushed on another thin coat of Smoke which softened the shades. I then mixed a tiny bit of matt black + rlm grey for the putty. Some of the seams were airbrushed on while Microscale liquid mask was used, some were brushpainted. It's a slow process but I'm ok with the result so I'll move on with the rest of the plane.
