Even if it isn't 100% accurate, it still looks jolly good to my eye I agree

Thanks for dropping by guys. I know that the cockpit is fictional.... at best.... That's why i didn't really put any actual effort there. The fuselage was glued but as expected from a kit this old, sanding, filling and some more sanding is in order..... Some supports from leftover resin pieces were used to make the mating surfaces of the wings curve along with the fuselage. It worked just fine. Only a very small gap remains between them which is very easy to fill. So that worked well. If everything goes as planned the fun part will begin soon.

The rivets add a lot to it.

Well done John, I like the idea with the fillets in the wings - something I must remember

Good solid work, John. You’re making a great job of this old kit.

Thanks a lot ppl, but things don't look good. We all know the issues these older kits , especially in this scale have. I can deal with that. Not my first time.... Building them with 45 celsious is an entirely different game. What i mean is that the plastic and the putty expand because of the heat and everytime you sand you get a different surface... Anyway, i wont sand it any more, the plastic keeps on cracking. Probably due to age, so here it is under primer.

Thanks Ian, although it is far from amazing. The white crosses were painted. The left one is ok, the right is laughable. Anyaway let's just assume a Spit got lucky and the 109 is painted hastily after a field repair on an airfield in France during the battle of Britain..... Next step, weathering.
