Hi fellas, I have two things to ask, 1st: Does anyone know of a company that makes a FV 432 in 1:72nd 2nd: I am trying to find a 1:35 or 1:72nd scale LWB Mercedes van circa 1980's. For those of you that served in BAOR you will immediately be familiar with Wolfgang Meier, he had a blue Merc van and would drive over the training area at Soltau, (sometimes during live firing), to sell us his offsales, beir, bratwurst and chic you bars, the man was/is a legend and I want to immortalise him in my BAOR Diorama when I get round to doing it. Thanks in advance 🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺

For the 432 if you can track one down the old cromwell models version is well worth it. In 1/76 matador models do one and also do sell some cromwell stuff at shows so it may be worth emailing them. web site is here, MATADOR MODELSCan't help re the truck, maybe you could find a die cast version?

Cheers, I've taken a look at Matsdor Models and think I'll have a 432 with GPMG turret in the back ground, also I've put in a bid on fleabay for a die cast Merc van of the vintage I need, happy days!!

I'm pretty certain that the Wittinger Pils wasn't on his van when I remember him....?

Wolfgang Meier is alive and well and enjoying retirement in his home town of Falingbostel, he recently apered in an artice on Forces TV, with the money he earned of us guys he bought his daughter a campsite which he helps her run. Cheers for the Bratwurst and yellow handbags Wolfgang (Yellowhand bag)=squaddie parlance for a 10 pack of Herforder Pils Bier, so called because it was in a yellow box, hence yellow Hand bag.

Oh memories are coming back indeed . I know the camp site too, they had that in the '87 and there is a bloody great man made swimming pool in the middle of it . Great for when we had our day off .
