I presume the Brits have cleared the path through the minefield, which explains the tape left and right. If so, the Germans could have a put a sign up to warn there own of how far to go when on stag. But on the other hand I haven't seen any pictures to back this up, and there is a lot photographic material out there for D.Day landings.
I'm not going to make a call on this one.

I just did a google search for - Normandy minefield - And came up with two pictures with the same minen sign.
I think I will add it for the story.
A layman viewing this diorama would probably not know what mine tape is. So it adds some more context.
