Grand workings on the A John . As for the Syrian Panzer IV, that is one I wish tackle also. I do believe that FC Model trend do the needed parts for of a conversion. I have collected some parts already and just need to get that 12.7 DshK and the mount for it

oh well I'd rather have them at my workbench than in a box inside my storage room

Oh that's a lot of changes, my plan with the Academy kit & DShk is busted.
But that link might be the right option. Even getting a Tamyia kit with that conversion is cheaper than the Dragon kit. And since I already have the Tamyia kit in stash...
Thanks for the tip !

This will be fun to watch. I'll be most interested in watching the Syrian one take shape since I want to build a few Syrian former German vehicles in my scale. Duke , I don't have the Syrian version yet, Dragon has some crazy prices for those kits
Perhaps I should get a Tamyia Ausf. H or Ausf.J , get a Soviet Cold War turret MG and that's it... it will almost half the price for sure. The only thing missing are the decals.
Yeah, I have the decals and some reference pics, but so far, no PzIV. I've seen it listed as an Ausf F, but nothing looks like an Ausf F so I'm thinking of using one of my AusF J's that I think I still have in the stash. I also have a PzIV L70 to make Syrian too. After that all I need is a Hummel.
I will have to scratch build a machine gun mount, that's what is tough. No clear enough pictures to see how it is supposed to look. I have plenty of Soviet 12.7mm machine guns.

Duke don't forget the Syrian StuG III Ausf.G .

Some work done today, a lot of small details as usual ,
This version of the Ausf.A only has one marking available, maybe it was a prototype. I managed to lose my book of German equipment so I'll have to rely on the Internet to find something about it.

Thanks Paul !!
Here they are :
I worked a little on those rear plate details,
I also checked online and found a very detailed review of this specific Ausf. A version, apparently there are many mistakes done by Dragon printing the instructions.. I will follow up and post them here along with my build.
I sense this will be quite fun, with a mix of Dragon, Tristar, HobbyBoss, Italeri, Tamyia, Border, Miniart and RFM Panzers , just need to add an Academy one,
yup definitely this will be a fun BuildLog !!

And now the errors from Dragon are starting .... Quoting from an online review.. " The suspension swing arms show A7 for one side and A8 in brackets for the other side. They need to be reversed. the main hull X1 has 6 molding tabs along the top edge, three per side. The instruction picture shows them gone, but nothing in the instructions says to remove them. You will need to remove them as the upper hull will not fit with them in place. Rear plate W20 has two locating holes for braces, and nowhere in the instructions you are shown what to install into these locating holes. After reviewing the instructions from a Dragon Pz IV Ausf C kit I found that parts D5 and D6 are to be installed here. To double check, I used Walter Spielberger’s Pz IV and its Variants 1935-1945 Book 2 and found that the Ausf A did have these braces and Dragon just left them off the instructions. " So I'm checking my Rear plate now, and maybe with luck since Dragon always adds 9000 extra parts, maybe D5 and D6 are there

Dragon Instructions strike again, but John is striking back with vengeance I'm trying...
Small update,
Here you must swap A7 by A8,
Still need to do the other side. So far it's coming along very well.
