Thank you chaps! You give me the energy needed to move on with the following part, the Italian rooftop. I was looking at Domino for it however in the end I didn't want to spend another 24 € on it (yup, I'm trying to save money as I think modelling kits became increasingly expensive!). So I had to see what I could do instead and I think it'll do the job. All I need are these Evergreen 0.7mm styrene tubes to make my tiles. Simple and I think, pretty effective if I may say so. The assembled roof wil get yabbadabbed with thinned Tamiya putty in order to give it a nice, worn texture. Btw, I have to make a roof with the tiles upside down and finish as above in pic 5.
