Hello guys, I'm spending this week in the Malmedy region together with the family. During the evenings the better half is reading a book I'm building this fantastic kit. Pete was right, this one is so well engineered! The kit only provides in decals from the Italy operations, I wish it had Battle of the Bulge or Germany era decals but ok maybe I'll go for a small Italian street section diorama. I've arrived at the suspension part. When I'm back home I'll start the Tempest kit.

Well dear Steve, I've ruined quite a lot of kits in the past to be honest. With the group build participation behind the back it's time to pick this up from the shelf. I'll continue the Spitfire build once this Hellcat is done. And let there be a little paint already😄 The exhausts and their compartiment were coloured in a pretty basic fashion because they will be barely visible once the grilles are attached. The grille was painted too so the rusty brown won't be "polluted" with the olive drab blown tru the tiny grille holes (will be masked). The sponsons were assembled and are ready for paint. The wheelage was done too.
